Who Are We?
Two Sisters is a boutique, internationally award winning, Single Vineyard located in Central Otago, New Zealand.We make a very good Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Rose.
Growing quietly on a steep north-facing slope in Central Otago, tucked among the mountains, lies the Two Sisters vineyard. Our aim is to let the site, the aspect, the soils and the weather produce outstanding grapes, which are then nurtured gently and lovingly to become outstanding wine. The charm and the challenge of growing this far south is that the weather keeps you on your toes. The grapes respond to the differences of each season, creating the happy result that wine from this carefully chosen site should be interestingly distinctive each year.
We have about five hectares of various clones of own-rooted Pinot Noir, one hectare of Riesling and a small younger block of Pinot Gris. That’s it. Each year we hand harvest to ensure quality, and since our 2011 Vintage we have been certified Organic. The first vines were planted in 1999.
We must raise our glass and thank our small and dedicated team in the vineyard and winery.
